it is interesting. mind you i was talking to a friend where i work. we realised that i was really pleased with my latest effort off the drawing board which is nearly completion. however when you have to try bloody hard to convince the client, the planners, the qs, the neighbours, the m+e and every trade on site why you are doing it, and all of them are not liking it for different reasons, you quickly start to think, what the hell am i doing in this profession. no-one wants us. perhaps we have been mind warping in uni with our modernist avant garde ideas? why not build what everyone else on the damn planet wants then we wouldnt have a problem becoming extinct!!!!
